Everything Exploded? - gorophobe - 2024-02-17 Hi, it's gonna be a little difficult for me to explain what even went on in the first place, so bear with me. I had Jellyfin on a Firestick Lite for a few months, hosting the actual server on my laptop and being able to watch it on my TV. I would always have to use it with the browser page opened (which, who knows if that was even the right way to use it). Two days ago I bought a brand new Firestick 4K (full/latest edition) and installed Jellyfin on there. I went to log in. It usually takes some ridiculous amount of finagling to get signed in on the TV, but just the day before upgrading we had done it well enough. Now, even on my PC, I can't access my own server...? It 'logged me out' automatically and with every attempt at reconnecting using my IPV4 Address, it says the server is not up -- even though that's exactly what I'm trying to do. I think to update Jellyfin, and now I've got an executable and still no way to figure out how to troubleshoot or login. Hopefully this is a silly situation and easily solvable by someone else...! Thank you for reading! RE: Everything Exploded? - TheDreadPirate - 2024-02-17 Can you share your jellyfin logs with us via sourcebin or pastebin? RE: Everything Exploded? - toytown - 2024-02-18 Is it possibly something simple like your laptop just got a new IP address from the router and you're pointing the browser/firestick at the old IP address? The thing is, I don't even have access to *any* server or media library even though I had been completely logged in on both my laptop and firestick before this incident. I don't even know how to make a new one, I set it up so long ago... (2024-02-17, 11:38 PM)TheDreadPirate Wrote: Can you share your jellyfin logs with us via sourcebin or pastebin? Where would I find it? Sorry for the silly question. Skimming through the source folders I didn't see a log file. RE: Everything Exploded? - TheDreadPirate - 2024-02-19 C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin\Server\log for windows /var/log/jellyfin for bare metal linux /config/log for a docker container (this is the container path) RE: Everything Exploded? - gorophobe - 2024-02-20 (2024-02-19, 06:36 PM)TheDreadPirate Wrote: C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin\Server\log for windows I don't have a server folder anymore it seems? These are all the folders I have now. When I open the app, I only see "No servers found on the local network." and "Add server," which only shows me the url/IP input of my destination server (which I don't have); there's no option to make a new one or anything, which is what I would do/be happy with if I could even get that to happen. RE: Everything Exploded? - TheDreadPirate - 2024-02-20 You're in Program Files. You need to go to ProgramData, which is usually hidden. Here is the most recent log. I also have the one from the night before I replaced my system (too big for pastebin). |
