"Source Error" on Jellyfin Android - Dennis Driessen - 2024-02-20
Jellyfin Server Hardware:
Intel Pentium G2020 2.5GHz
4GB RAM
320GB HDD
no HW acceleration
Running Jellyfin 10.8.13 via Docker on Ubuntu Server 22.04.
Video files are on a Synology NAS in the same network.
I have no problems playing any video's. Everything runs smoothly.
Except every now and then Jellyfin Android shows a message "Source Error".
The client is a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, using latest Jellyfin client and Integrated player.
Jellyfin Web does not appear to have this problem.
I've checked logs, stream settings, network configuration, just about anything I could think of.
But so far nothing has lead me to a possible cause and solution to why the client gets these "Source Error" messages.
Are there any settings server side I need to check or change that might resolve this issue?

Can you share your logs with us? If there are ffmpeg logs share one of those too.
Post them to sourcebin or pastebin.
