The problem with the photos of the actors - Druidblack - 2024-02-20

I have a problem with assigning photos to actors. For example, there is a TV series or a movie where the actor participated in films and TV series (I will give an example from anime, but this is just for example). Photos of actors are uploaded primarily from the tvdb website, and not from themoviedb (on this site, photos are often of higher resolution and relate to actors, not their personalities). In the media library settings for TV series, where there is a requirement to upload images, themoviedb is set, for TV series thetvdb is set only for metadata. In the movie library, the tvdb data source does not appear at all When recognizing an actor, it is only in the themoviedb database with a good photo, and when uploading data with image replacement, a photo from tvdb is uploaded. When manually searching for images, the first priority image is a photo from tvdb. I'll try to add screenshots to make it a little clearer. Where can I adjust the priority of uploading photos for actors?

AFAIK, there are no settings for how People metadata is prioritized.

Maybe create an issue on github to add such an option?

A feature request already exists.

It's a nightmare, the request has been hanging since 2022. I liked the request and added a photo, maybe this will somehow speed up the solution of the problem.
TheDreadPirate, Thank you for suggesting that a request for such a problem already exists
