Connect remotely without including:8096 - stinkstank - 2024-02-26

Moving all of my jellyfin over to a new computer so I'm wanting to set it up better this time. For my old computer to connect to jellyfin remotely you had to type in url:8096

Some people online said not to keep that port open so I've closed it now. I'd like to be able to connect with just the url if possible.

Currently using caddy for reverse proxy and noip for url.

Any help is appreciated

When you setup caddy to act as your reverse proxy, using port 443 is the default behavior. Meaning that you won't have to specify a port.
