Hi, the kodi client download page returns a 404:

This one should be fixed now Smiling-face

I've also created a GitHub issue for reporting anomalies going forward, for anyone with GitHub accounts: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/11134

Hello Jellyfin Team,

I have eagerly read the details about the changes leading up to version 10.9. While I have only minimal programming knowledge, I have extensive experience with Linux and networking. I would like to assist you in testing and identifying any issues. I have a few general questions regarding this.

The announcement mentions abandoning Ubuntu non-LTS, which is completely understandable to me. Currently, I have Jellyfin running on Ubuntu Server 23.04. This Ubuntu Server system has been a headache for me for a long time, and I had already planned to switch to Debian. Now seems like the perfect time to do so.

The announcement only mentions Ubuntu and RPM-based distributions. Will Debian (Stable) be supported in the long term?

I plan to set up a VM (on my PVE) with Debian 12.5 to test Jellyfin unstable.

One question regarding my libraries: They are not located on the Jellyfin machine itself but rather on our file server (Debian 10, ALDS, LDAP) and are mounted via SMB. I assume it would be safest to copy a portion of my library to a new share and test Jellyfin Unstable with that, correct?

Lastly, regarding the timing, should I set up the test system immediately or wait until after the feature freeze?

with best

Forgive my ignorance but what is a new CI?

Looking forward to the list of newly implemented features from all the suggestions that have been made over the past couple of years!

I'm not a software developer, at least not a good one, but I think "CI" stands for "Continuous Integration" and describes the system for getting code changes into the automated build and ultimately into the repository.

According to the description (if I understand it correctly), this infrastructure was fundamentally rebuilt or improved so that developers need less time for the build process and more time for the software itself.

I assume a release note with functional descriptions will only come after the feature freeze.

This is just my interpretation. Without claiming correctness :-)

You're exactly correct on every front pixel24.

Is there an update on the release for 10.9.0? Originally it was targeted for the last weekend in april, but given the weekend is half over, I am not inclined to believe it will release in time. Looking at some of the PRs open on the repos as well it looks like there are some critical fixes that haven't merged yet either.

Last I heard May 4 is the current target. There were some bugs that were uncovered that warranted a 1 week delay.

Well given that this weekend is almost over and the 10.9 triage board still has like 12 items, I do not have high hopes on it releasing even by next week.
