Wake Windows 10 Jellyfin Server - theguitarman - 2024-03-09 I am running Jellyfin on Windows 10, and enjoying the experience (mostly) so far. But one feature I would enjoy is the ability to wake the server when a client tries to access it. I understand that this is not officially supported by Jellyfin, and I have not been able to find any plug-ins that do this either. I am wondering if anyone has something like this working? I only watch a movie from my server every couple of days or so, and so I manually wake it, but would be nice to not have to do so. Thanks! RE: Wake Windows 10 Jellyfin Server - Efficient_Good_5784 - 2024-03-09 Having that built into Jellyfin would not work. How would it know something is trying to access it if it's asleep? Also, how is your Jellyfin server going to sleep? Do you manually turn it off when you're done watching something? You'll need to look into another separate program or script that'll run 24/7 to open Jellyfin when a client demands it. |
