good OSS android player - pixel24 - 2024-03-14 Hello Community, currently, I mainly use Jellyfin for listening to music, primarily through the official Android app. I should mention that I'm using GrapheneOS and exclusively open-source software from F-Droid. Now, onto my question. Do you know of any good open-source music player for Jellyfin/Android? What's important to me is better caching (as we have a lot of areas with not network in blackforrest) and crossfade capability. Offline listening of tracks or playlists and crossfade feature would be nice but not mandatory. Best regards pixel24 RE: good OSS android player - TheDreadPirate - 2024-03-14 Check out Finamp. Available via F-Droid. Has offline downloads, straight up offline mode. Not sure about crossfade. https://github.com/jmshrv/finamp They are going through a massive overhaul, which is currently in beta if you want to participate in that. https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-announcing-finamp-s-redesign-beta |
