Best music player for Android? - Failrunner - 2023-07-28

So far I tried 3. I tried Finamp which was okay but it didn't have all the options I wanted and seemed not to get many updates which I felt it needed. I tried Fintunes which I was underwhelmed by. So far my favorite has been Symfonium. However, I was wondering if there's anything else out there that I'm missing. Oh, and I did use the official app but I wanted an app that allowed you to download entire albums with one click and was focused on music because I don't watch movies and tv just YouTube. I canceled my Amazon HD subscription to use this instead. =)

Theres also Findroid. Not exclusively music focused, but does allow for downloads and offline playback of those downloads. Haven't tried it myself, so I can't say if it does one click downloads of albums. Give it a try and report back.

Sup guys. Got an epic update coming. The app is super slick. It's currently under review with Google play.

I've tried all three, and I think Musicolet Music Player is the best. It's ad-free, supports offline playback, and is relatively lightweight.
#1 Musicolet Music Player
#2 Poweramp Music Player
#3 AIMP

I’ve tried a few music players on Android myself, and while I don’t have a perfect answer, here’s what I’d say from my experience (and a tip if you care about offline files):

I’ve used apps like Poweramp and Neutron Player, which tend to have strong audio features (equalizer, gapless playback) and decent library support. They sometimes feel more ā€œseriousā€ about audio than media-heavy apps.

If I want a player that’s just simple and effective for music (no video distractions), I often rely on local MP3/FLAC files instead of streaming apps. That’s where DumpMedia Any Music Converter comes in handy for me, I use it to convert my favorite Spotify or Amazon Music playlists into local files, then play them with whatever Android player I’m testing.

So if I were you and still exploring, I’d give Poweramp or Neutron a go, and if you want to be truly independent of streaming subscriptions, back up your music locally with DumpMedia.
