Jellyfin auto overwriting TVDB/iMDB IDs - arcaeus7221 - 2024-03-18
Hello,
I've added "Formula 1" into my library and Jellyfin is pulling the metadata from "Formula 1: Drive to Survive". When I click 3 dots > Edit Metadata, put in the right IDs, then "replace all metadata", it just pulls the same Drive to Survive metadata and IDs.
When I click 3 dots > Identify and put in the TVDB ID, nothing comes up. When I put in the IMDB ID, the right show comes up, I select it and check replace pictures and Save Changes. However, the show will have the right episode thumbnails but the show poster, background, seasons, and everything else is still wrong. And 3 dots> Edit Metadata still shows the data for the wrong show.
Any idea why this is happening or how to fix?

You have to verify that the metadata sources in your library settings are in the right priority and that the sources you are using have the metadata you need. For the record, while Jellyfin can use IMDB IDs it does not pull metadata from IMDB. Will only use TMDB, OMDB, or TVDB by default.
