Collaboration albums for music - macnteej - 2023-07-29
I have a few collaboration albums that I don't know how to properly organize. I know if I go into the individual tracks and do ARTIST1; ARTIST2 that it'll split the album evenly in both artist pages. My question comes with where do I place the files on my storage. Do I place a copy in both artist folders, or keep them in a joint folder similar to the ARTIST1; ARTIST2 configuration. I can find the album easily in the albums section, but the artist and album artist sections become rather jumbled without a fix.

That's the $64k question. For movie soundtracks with a bagillion artists, MusicBrainz's Picard did all the heavy lifting with tagging things properly. But I haven't found a way to have a multi-artist album show up cleanly in Jellyfin/Plex type interfaces.
