Error: Refused to Connect - acoustics - 2024-03-25 Hi everyone, New to Jellyfin and to the forum. I am currently using an Asustor 6604T. ADM 4.2.7RRD1, Jellyfin 10.813.ro1, Docker 25.0.3.r1. Jellyfin was installed successfully from the official Asustor's App Central. However, when I clicked on the Jellyfin app, a new browser window opens, and I get an error message stating connection refused to this address xxx.xxx.xx.xx:8096. I have re-initialised the NAS, changed the network profile to private, re-installed Jellyfin and Docker, restarted the NAS, modem, turned off the firewall, called the ISP to check if they block any connections (they don't). Does anyone have any suggestions or possible solutions? Thanks! RE: Error: Refused to Connect - Serge K - 2024-03-25 it looks like Jellyfin installed but not start I do not know your nas but connect to it via SSH and check is jellyfin runnig or not RE: Error: Refused to Connect - acoustics - 2024-03-25 Thanks for the reply. But I am not sure how to do it. Documentation from Asustor lacks details. For instance: https://www.asustor.com/en/online/online_help?id=24 It is not very helpful. RE: Error: Refused to Connect - Serge K - 2024-03-25 Download Putty on your local PC and connect to your NAS RE: Error: Refused to Connect - TheDreadPirate - 2024-03-25 You would need to type in the LAN IP for your NAS plus port 8096 http://192.168.1.3:8096 For example. I downloaded Putty and connected it to my NAS. I got this error message: Connection failed. FlowSocketConnector: Failed to connect to target address. Windows error 10060. A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. RE: Error: Refused to Connect - Serge K - 2024-03-26 type in windows command prompt (it will check if ssh port 22 is open on your NAS IP address): telnet 192.168.1.3 22 also check if brandmauer switch off RE: Error: Refused to Connect - acoustics - 2024-03-27 Thanks for your help thus far. Port 22 is not open. Not sure what is meant by "brandmauer switch off". RE: Error: Refused to Connect - Serge K - 2024-03-27 find in NAS settings how to enable SSH connection (it will open port 22) brandmauer switch off means firewall https://techhub.hpe.com/eginfolib/networking/docs/IMC/v7_3/5200-2700a/content/436212023.htm RE: Error: Refused to Connect - Serge K - 2024-03-27 https://www.asustor.com/en/online/College_topic?topic=109 find topic 5.1 Enabling SFTP (SSH) Service |
