Jellyfin media player no fullscreen - nifyllej22 - 2024-04-04

Running into an issue after installing an Nvidia quadro 400 video card on Windows 10. Jellyfin media player now will not go full screen after being launched. The windows taskbar still shows. Movies are also in a weird windowed mode when playing now. This was not the case with my previous nvidia card. I've looked through every setting I can think of but am uncertain of what I'm missing.

There are several full screen bugs in JMP with no rhyme or reason.

Most of the users here that I've seen encounter it just had to reinstall JMP. Most had to clear the JMP config directory at C:\Users\yourUSER\appdata\local\jellyfinmediaplayer

I don't see a git issue for not being able to go full screen. Can you submit an issue before reinstalling?

In the directory I mentioned there should be a log. Replicate the problem and then post that log to your github issue.

Did you try using the F11 key to toggle fullscreen?

I just checked on my computer. When I use F11 to get into window mode, JMP will remain windowed even if I close and reopen it.

Try using the F11 key to see if it brings back actual fullscreen.

Thanks all. Attempted the F11 option and nothing. Screen flickers quickly but the media player never changes its view.
I have the logs and player config file that I'll upload to the Github site. I also did a repair and uninstall/reinstall and that didn't help either.
