Jellyfin server with private ip - rigger4life - 2024-04-06
Good day, New to forum and Jellyfin. I have created a media library on a old lab top with the intention of using it as a server for Jellyfin. Installed it on win 10 and trying to get it setup on my home network. Problem i have is i dont have a public ip assigned to me from isp. The Public ip is used by all customers. The gave me a pvt one. Not sure what to do now? Is it possible to set this up with private IP?

Resolved, I just enabled automatic port mapping after reinstalling JF. Up and running now.

Automatic port mapping is just uPnP initiated port forwarding. I'm not sure how turning that on would help.
