Refresh metadata button on WebOs client - andres87 - 2024-04-07

Hello, I have a TV Shows library. I don't know why my server isn't detecting when new files are added so I have to manually refresh the library, it's no big deal.

The thing is in the Web client I can click the 3 dot menu in the main library card and select "refresh library", but I can't seem to be able to do that in the WebOs client.

However when I add a new episode for an existing TV Show I can enter the TV Show page and click "refresh library" from there and the new episode is added, so I have the permissions or whatever it is to scan the library, just can't find the button so I can't add new shows.

I tried with the general user profile and the admin profile. The admin can't access the dashboard either so I can't refresh there. I keep having to log in from my phone to refresh.

What am I doing wrong? Any idea?

If you don't have real time monitoring you either have to manually refresh or wait for the scheduled task to initiate a refresh (runs every 12 hours). Keep in mind that if your media is stored on a network share, real time monitoring isn't supported by the network file system. Only turn on real time monitoring for directly attached storage.

Most of the TV clients do not have many of the "admin" functions exposed at the same locations as the browser/android/JMP clients.
