Few series in recent - Maxy TV - 2024-04-10

Hello everyone! How's everything going?
I'm experiencing an issue with my server, and it's that there are very few series in the recent section compared to movies.
The problem is that when I add a new series, the previous ones get removed from recent (it doesn't create as extensive a list as in movies).

I'd appreciate knowing if there's any way to address this as it's very inconvenient, and the people I share my account with hardly ever see the latest added series.

An additional question that is unrelated, but I hadn't been saving metadata in NFO files until now, I had that option unchecked. Now I've checked it. What differences does it make?

I know that if I activate NFO, I can manually change metadata and have the changes persist, but will it take up more disk space? Thank you.

The way the recently added endpoint works is a little odd. Basically, it returns a set number of video files that get grouped into their respective series. This is best explained in a couple scenarios. For the scenario's sake, we'll say it's 100 items (I don't actually know what the real cutoff is)

* You add 1-2 episodes of a bunch of different shows, you'll get back 100 episodes that are from mostly unique series, so they don't get grouped much and you wind up with a long list of recently added entries displayed
* You add a series with 300 episodes, you'll get back 100 episodes that get grouped down into only 1 show entry being displayed

It's pretty weird behavior if you're not expecting it, but changing it is quite a bit of work that hasn't been addressed yet.

I just faced the same problem after adding some multi-season TV shows to my library. Like, this is quite disappointing. I'd like to see a list of TV Shows instead of just 1, as it is with Movies. I run Emby on the side and it has no such issue, so I do hope Jellyfin fixes this ASAP.

Is there any way to manually correct this though? Thanks.
