TVHeadend, xTeVe. What do I need? - pixel24 - 2024-04-13 Hi all, I have an IPTV subscription. I receive the M3U and XMLTV files through two URLs. However, I don't want all the channels delivered through these files to be in Jellyfin. I've experimented a bit with TVHeadend just to test the software. Additionally, I've read about xTeVe. As far as I understand, xTeVe can handle tasks like filtering channels and combining EPG data from XMLTV with M3U. The EPG data in XMLTV changes constantly. I think the process of linking EPG data with M3U can be automated in xTeVe, right? Do I need TVHeadend at all then? Are there advantages to combining both? with best RE: TVHeadend, xTeVe. What do I need? - crobibero - 2024-04-13 You don’t need TVHeadend in the mix Also, xteve hasn’t been updated in 3 years, you might want to check out Threadfin https://github.com/Threadfin/Threadfin StreamMaster https://github.com/SenexCrenshaw/StreamMaster RE: TVHeadend, xTeVe. What do I need? - pixel24 - 2024-04-14 Thank you for the information. I've checked out the two links. It's not clear to me what the technical differences are between Threadfin and StreamMaster. Does anyone know of more detailed documentation on these proxies? I'd like to figure out which one is better suited for my needs. |
