Chromecast Playback - atlas - 2024-04-27
Hey all,
I have an issue with playback on my chromecast with some movies. They playback works fine on other devices. On my chromecast Android App the video is stuttering and moving slow. This only happens with some movies. Here is an example of pulp fiction not working:

I'm on Jellyfin Version 10.8.13 on Ubuntu Server 20.04. My chromecast app version is on "jellyfin-androidtv 0.16.10 release".

I didn't add them, cause playback isn't an issue on mobile and PC.
But here they are:
Intel i5 -3570k
32 GB Ram
GTX 1070 for Encoding
System on Raid 1 (2xSSD)
Media on Raid 5 (4xHDD)
With encoding, my system is not loaded heavily while playing back movies.

I don't know where I can find specific ffmpeg logs, the documentation doesn't really clarify.

The ffmpeg logs are in the same directory as the logs you posted. But what you posted has the ffmpeg command used, so I have something to work with. Try disabling "Allow encoding in HEVC format" in Dashboard > Playback. I know the GTX 1070 can encode to HEVC (I used a 1070 for encoding for a while), but I've seen other users with a similar problem and the solution was to only allow transcoding to output with H264.
RE: Chromecast Playback - atlas - 2024-05-02
I tried disabling this, but this led to my chromecast playing nothing. When trying to watch the movie with any player, it would throws "Player error encountered. Will re-try..." a few times until it gives up.
Watching a different movie, like Dune, it works perfectly.
