metadata read issue - EXSuun - 2024-05-02 I noticed that the Symfonium player was not correctly reading genre tags for some artists, despite having the genre tags filled and being read correctly by Jellyfin Android app as well as Musicbee. I also saw that in my Jellyfin browser the artists in question also did not have their total track time length displayed. here is a screenshot to show what I'm talking about - https://imgur.com/a/KEX5JqF I'm guessing this has something to do with the metadata for these artists - I tried to change the metadata by updating it via Picard/mp3tag but that didn't fix the issue. Does anyone know what could be causing this? RE: metadata read issue - TheDreadPirate - 2024-05-02 I will have to get back to you when I get home this evening (currently 9am US Eastern) as I don't currently have access to my phone. FWIW, Symfonium is a 3rd party app. Since the official app is reading genre's correctly this sounds like a Symfonium problem. They have their own forums at https://support.symfonium.app/. Try asking for help there while you wait for me to get home in like 11 hours. RE: metadata read issue - TheDreadPirate - 2024-05-03 AFAICT, the ones that are missing in Symfonium are empty genres. Not sure why there is a genre if there aren't any songs to go in them, though. Which means this IS a Jellyfin problem. Here is a screenshot of mine. "Abstract" is present in the web browser, but is clearly empty. I'm guessing Symfonium just drops the genre. RE: metadata read issue - Hyperion - 2024-08-16 Bug confirmed here |
