Zen 4 integrated graphics - Auautheawesome - 2023-08-04 Hi all, quick simple question that I can't seem to find online, is the ryzen desktop 7000 series' igpu supported in encoding and decoding videos for jellyfin? RE: Zen 4 integrated graphics - TheDreadPirate - 2023-08-05 Yes. They use RDNA2 based graphics. RE: Zen 4 integrated graphics - TheDreadPirate - 2023-08-05 If you have a choice, go with Intel. 100%. The transcoding quality is way better. I have a 7900x and am able to run 5 concurrent 4k -> 1080p transcodes at a time. This is when i start all streams at the same time, but in the real world it'd be more realistic they start at different times, where the number sometimes could be higher. For jellyseer i only allow guests to request 1080p, due to space constrains and on my home network the devices are just set up to run direct stream, so for me it's way more than i'll probably ever need for friends and family. I also only have 4 cores assigned to jellyfin, since I wanna seperate them from my gaming vm, but 4 also seems to be the sweetspot for what the igp can handle. |
