Jellyfin 10.9, Web Browser and DirectPlay - Elzeard - 2024-05-15
Hi !
I updated my server with the 10.9 version. I would like to warmly thanks developpers for the work.
I had a big surprise with web browser (Brave).
Web browser are not supposed to handle HEVC ( with jellyfin 10.8 it wasn't).
But I could play now a 4k HEVC without transcoding into Brave
It's a big surprise and I would to understand why it's possible now ?

I don't know the details, but I know the profile checking was updated and corrected to allow for more direct playing in browsers that support certain codecs.
