Music: Any good way to handle individual tracks (non-album)? - nurunet - 2024-05-24 Hi! I'm running Jellyfin 10.9.2 on Docker. After my videos, I wanted to populate it with my music collection. That works well (as far as I can tell) with my albums. But I still have a sizable collection of individual tracks from 20+ years ago. I could organize them as if they had been part of their original album, but then I would have tons of "albums" with most tracks missing. Not super satisfying. Is there any clever way around this? I read about the option of showing a folder view, but that is in addition to the normal view if I understand correctly - which would still be "polluted" with the orphaned single tracks. Anything lese I'm missing? Cheers RE: Music: Any good way to handle individual tracks (non-album)? - TheDreadPirate - 2024-05-24 Nope. You pretty much figured out the problem. Unfortunately there is no way to avoid it. The minimum file organization supported is an album. Every song needs to be in an album folder, which can, but doesn't have to be, inside an artist folder. https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/music/ RE: Music: Any good way to handle individual tracks (non-album)? - nurunet - 2024-05-24 Too bad. Having tons of "albums" with only one or two songs, say track 2 and 7, massively triggers my OCD. But thank you for all your help and support, @TheDreadPirate, you are absolutely amazing! |
