Unable to Connect from anywhere - LunaCooper - 2024-06-10 I'm running Jellyfin on a Windows 10 PC, recently got a new ISP so i was going through to get it working for external connections. Opened to ports, renewed my cert, and created exemptions from the firewall (Windows and Router). After failing to get it to allow outside connections, I tried restarting the Server by fully exiting Jellyfin then re-opening it. After I started it again I could no longer connect through the host machine. Thinking I messed something up significantly, I did a full Uninstall and then reinstalled Jellyfin. Still nothing, even tried running as administrator. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. RE: Unable to Connect from anywhere - TheDreadPirate - 2024-06-10 Can you share your Jellyfin logs via pastebin? It seems to not be registering any files as well and thats bogging down the log making it larger than pastebins 512 Kilobyte limit, I'm gonna try to clean those up a bit to get it to work EDIT: After trimming it down it's still too big to fit in pastebin and im not sure what else i can trim to make it smaller RE: Unable to Connect from anywhere - TheDreadPirate - 2024-06-10 Zip the file and attach it to a forum post. RE: Unable to Connect from anywhere - LunaCooper - 2024-06-10 I was able to get the logs on ControlC https://controlc.com/2df99513 RE: Unable to Connect from anywhere - TheDreadPirate - 2024-06-10 Try turning off automatic port mapping in Jellyfin since you manually created it in the router firewall. Code: [ERR] [14] Emby.Server.Implementations.EntryPoints.ExternalPortForwarding: Error creating port map on local port 8920 to public port 8920 with device "192.168.4.1:1900". But that shouldn't prevent you from accessing it entirely. Let's check the firewall status Click Start > Type "Resource Monitor" > Click on the Network tab > Expand the "listening ports" table. Find jellyfin.exe on port 8096. What is the firewall status column for that port? The Image on port 8096 is "Allowed, not Restricted" Same for port 8920. RE: Unable to Connect from anywhere - TheDreadPirate - 2024-06-11 Are you able to undo what you did on the router? Also, are you able to connect on the host machine using http://localhost:8096? I am able to undo what was done on the router but i still want external connections to work. As for connecting via localhost, i wasnt able to, but have since gained access after uninstalling, restarting my computer, reinstalling, restarting my computer, then starting the server, it immediately disappearing from the system tray and starting it multiple times until i could catch it to right click and click "Start Jellyfin." At which point an unnamed process with the jellyfin logo appeared on task manager. Then I ended the process, which let me start the server again, this time allowing me to connect to the server via localhost. EDIT: I am still unable to connect externally.
