TV App problem - Łukasz Dw - 2024-06-13 Hello, Let me describe my setup: - Firebat T8 (N100) - Proxmox, Jellyfin in container, HW transconding enabled No matter in WebOS LG app, or Tizen app, movie plays few seconds, than stop. It looks it is not network or buffering problem. In the dashbord it says movie is just remuxed, so not really HW bottlneck. The same movie, when transcoding is needed on Android phone is playing well, with no stops. BTW Jellyfin DLNA plays well but I like the app. EDIT: Looks it is happening to some movies. How to identify this? RE: TV App problem - TheDreadPirate - 2024-06-13 Can you share your main jellyfin log and the ffmpeg logs associated with the TV transcodes via pastebin? RE: TV App problem - Łukasz Dw - 2024-06-13 Ok, after I crashed my Jellyfin and created a new one in container - Tizen is fine, Android is fine. Still issues with LG WebOS, but I found, this is not related to all movies but only these with: DOVIWithHDR10 So looks like some issue with Dolby Vision. Logs I will be able to attach tomorrow. Thanks! RE: TV App problem - Łukasz Dw - 2024-06-14 Hello, Error main log - https://pastebin.com/PHVN7FhP Error ffmpeg - https://pastebin.com/RV6qVzHk These are coming from the video which stopped. RE: TV App problem - TheDreadPirate - 2024-06-14 Does this only happen with Dolby Vision 8 media? It is, indeed, just remuxing. RE: TV App problem - Łukasz Dw - 2024-06-14 At least from what I have in library issues are only with DOVIWithHDR10. Regular HDR10 runs fine. However by DLNA Dolby Violsion is played well. RE: TV App problem - TheDreadPirate - 2024-06-14 The DLNA player is different and separate from the players in the Tizen and WebOS app so they are not going to behave the same. IIRC, both are the OS's web players? So Jellyfin is pretty dependent on the OS's player is my understanding. Again, this is separate from the DLNA player. RE: TV App problem - Łukasz Dw - 2024-06-15 But do you maybe know how could I resolve it? Any way to e.g. for this WebOS player, set up that format is incompatible and maybe force transcode? RE: TV App problem - TheDreadPirate - 2024-06-15 Does the WebOS Jellyfin app have a quality selector or a max bit rate config? If you lower the max bit rate below the video's native bit rate it will transcode. RE: TV App problem - Łukasz Dw - 2024-06-15 Yes, but I'd have to go down with the quality too. Anyway I found workaround - WebOS has built in web browser which is quite efficient and works with Jellyfin Web client perfectly. No more issues. However this points that there is something wrong with WebOS app itself. |
