Manually changing actor photos - unmesh59 - 2024-07-08 My media files already have NFO files that were created by Ember Media Manager and the media added to Jellyfin libraries. If I change actor photos from the Jellyfin GUI, will a subsequent library rescan restore the original photos and lose these changes? I ended up initiating a rescan if I change the media file within a folder. Maybe it is safer to rescan only that title but I haven't found a way. Thanks RE: Manually changing actor photos - TheDreadPirate - 2024-07-08 If you have all the metadata you want from NFO/an external app, you have to disable all other metadata providers in the library settings. Otherwise Jellyfin will attempt to overwrite them. You could also set the file permissions in the OS so that Jellyfin has read-only access to the NFOs. RE: Manually changing actor photos - unmesh59 - 2024-07-08 If Jellyfin will overwrite all the NFO files, I'm fine with that since it gives me persistence. Unless the same actor is in a newly added movie and Ember puts its favored picture of them in the new NFO and Jellyfin uses it across all titles in the next library scan. |
