No Artwork for one hard drive - roxics - 2024-07-14 I have a handful of hard drives with movies on them, Jellyfin does not seem to auto add artwork for movies off of one of them. I had realized the first time around that drive was full during my initial setup of the server. So I cleared a bunch of space off of that drive. Rescanned. That didn't do anything. So I deleted the drive from the library and added it again and still it brought back all the movies, matched them all, but didn't load any artwork for any of them. Not sure what's going on. Also, side issue: I've got duplicated of movies listed because of different versions, anyway to put them together? If you also have your libraries configured to save metadata onto the drives, make sure your Jellyfin user has permission access to store and modify data on the drive itself. I didn't even realize that. I remember I did once format some external drives that way to try and make them cross compatible, but that didn't work out for most of my drives. I had all kinds of issues with ExFAT drives failing on mac. Specifically the WD kind powered over USB. But I must have missed this one (Seagate 3.5" wall powered) and it's been working fine. Anyway, I don't have any permissions I can change. Instead it just says "You have Custom access" where permissions are supposed to be. I didn't even notice this because I have no problems reading/writing to this drive and Plex has no issues with it. It's only Jellyfin that has caused me an issue. I'm guessing because Jellyfin likes to write files into folders. Is there a way to get around it (maybe with terminal) without reformatting the drive? It's 8TB and I don't have a spare to transfer files to right now. |
