Apple TV 4k 17.5.1 - Swiftfin not updating to 1.1 - Nookmedia - 2024-07-16
Hi,
I see some discussions about a new swiftfin update but not able to update or see it in the app store on the device. I do see 1.1 on the app store web but the version still is 1.0.1 inside the app store in Apple TV. I have tried offloading as well as uninstalling the app to trigger the update without luck.
I'm in UK region, AppleTV is 4k 2nd gen - A2169 and tvos version is 17.5.1.
Unfortunately I don't have another Apple device on hand to test.
Is 1.1 update live for everyone or is it only for certain regions or through test flight etc.

It has not been released for tvOS yet either in the store or on TestFlight.

When do we expect the version to be release for appleTv? Now we have 1.2 and still the AppStore shows the 1.0.1.
I didn’t found any information in the GitHub of swiftfin

There is no estimate, the iOS and tvOS versions are essentially different apps, I believe there is some refactoring going on in the iOS app that once done might get things moving again for tvOS but don't quote me on that.
