On iOS, Jellyfin Mobile and Swiftfin both fail to find server, yet Infuse works - 3l3v8 - 2023-08-18

On iOS, connected to the local network and I can ping the server IP. Infuse finds the server and works. Both Swiftfin and Jellyfin Mobile fail to find the server even when I type in the IP address and/or the IP:Port.

Could you provide a bit more information about the server side of things? Server OS? Jellyfin version? Specs? Do you have a reverse proxy? https?

And could you share your server logs? And the specific error you are seeing with Swiftfin/Jellyfin Mobile?

Jellyfin Server is running on Debian (well Mint).
Version: 10.8.10
Server is a quad core with 4GB of RAM. The Library is located on a USB connected SSD.

Hard to get the logs of that box, but I looked through them and there was nothing about devices connecting.

On Swiftfin, under Local Servers it says No local servers found. (Infuse finds it just fine)
If I type in the IP or the IP:Port and hit Connect, I don't get an error message, the screen has a brief flash and nothing changes.

The logs also help us figure out some details about your config to guide our suggestions.

Is this a new install? Did you open port 8096 on the server's firewall? Since you don't see any connection attempts, I'm inclined to think some firewall issue. But that doesn't explain how Infuse found it. Perhaps some sort of service discovery or DLNA?
