Setting multiple preferred audio/sub languages - Piipperi800 - 2024-07-30
I'm slowly doing the process of switching from Plex to Jellyfin, how can I make a preferred audio language and subtitle stack?
I watch movies and shows in 3 different languages, but I can't find a setting anywhere where I could make a stack for preferred languages. I can only seem to select one preferred language or the default, which is especially frustrating to deal with when the media is multilanguage, but not available in the Jellyfin's chosen selected language.
And by a stack I mean prioritize one audio language over another, but revert to the other one if the first one in the stack is not available.
Same for subtitles, except not showing subtitles for accepted languages.
Is this something that can be achieved in Jellyfin?

AFAIK, no. You could set particular tracks to be default or forced, but that often overrides the client preference. And that behavior varies from client to client.
