Fatal Error Occurred During Playback - dalec76 - 2024-08-01
Currently using Jellyfin v10.9.8 in TrueNAS (chart v1.3.2). Yesterday I updated Jellyfin on TrueNAS but didn't have time to actually watch anything before i went to bed. Just went to go continue watching a show and i keep getting "Playback Error Playback Failed Due to a Fatal Error" when i got to watch something on my pc (running in chrome) and if i try on my Tv it just tries to play and when it can't it skips through episodes till it finds something it can play. Below is the log, and I've tried a few different things (restarting the server from Jellyfin, restarting from TrueNAS, restarting the actual TrueNAS system itself). I'm not sure what exactly happened and i'm still new when it comes to trouble shooting with Jellyfin since i almost never have to do it. Appreciate any help i can get.

Did you enable 1 GPU device in the Truenas container?
Also, is this Core or Scale?

I recall someone saying that TrueCharts doesn't do GPU passthrough properly?
Also, what GPU do you have?
