AS3304T - Transcode settings - straith - 2024-08-02
I got this NAS and put Jellyfin on it. I've got a couple movies on it and they play great on my TV. I noticed there is a Transcoding section under admin that has hardware acceleration that's set to none. Is anyone familiar with this NAS and know how to configure this part? It in theory has the capability. "High performance, 4K decoding. Transcode 10-bit 4K H.265 media with hardware decoding easily enables smooth video playback in LooksGood."

That NAS has an RTD1296 ARM CPU. It looks like there is a proprietary app they are advertising for the transcoding capability. But Jellyfin probably does not support it.
You can experiment with "VAAPI", but I'm not sure that would work.
