MAC Seqoia +JF10.9.8 not working - whatsthistv - 2024-08-02

Hi,

I just updated to macOS Sequoia en now no device can connect to jelyyfin server. the webOS works. It all worked okay on Sonoma , nothing changed and now it does not work anymore.

The Jellyfin app on appletv iOS and iPad os can not find the Jellyfin server
also infuse can not find JF server

What changed ( except the macOS ) to make it not work anymore?

Anyone?

Can you share your jellyfin logs via pastebin?

What, specifically, isn't working?  The log you attached is an ffmpeg log.  Share the log with the file name "log_YYYYMMDD.log".

Thanks for the quick response! After checking again, it looks like my IP changed to 10.0.0.20:8096 after the update to macOS Sequoia 15.0 (24A335). Adding a new server fixed the issue.

Sorry for not checking sooner—everything’s good now!

Your MAC address (the network card one) will likely change after Seqoia update if you enabled privacy protection for that card, which might make your router think this is a new device and assign you a new ip. Please check that to see if it is really the case.
