RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.9.9 - Fate - 2024-08-05

Happy to see yet another release!

Unfortunately the caching bug:
https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-media-player/issues/688
Is still happening.

https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-web/pull/5730
I suspected this might fix it but seems the devs don't think so.

Anyway I'm open to troubleshooting anytime. Winking-face

(Sorry to be a pita with this issue)

RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.9.9 - KodiUser1138 - 2024-08-05

Did this resolve the issue with collections ignoring what's in the XML on a refresh and removing tons of entries for some reason?

RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.9.9 - KodiUser1138 - 2024-08-14

I will answer for myself. Nope. JF no longer refreshes collections from the XML file in the program data location either from previous (10.9.3) versions or manually edited. Almost every one of my nearly 300 collections needs to be gone through and have all the missing movies re-added manually and then any time I make any sort of change to my media backend I must again manually re-add the movies that will be missing to the appropriate collections because you can not create rules for collections based on title/sort title, director, star or tag.

RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.9.9 - Manu Tejero - 2024-08-18

This version has some bugs…

- Live TV takes too long (15 seconds?) to play (don't know what's loading, with previous versions it loads immediately)

- With LG App, TV Guide does not scroll!

Should be fixed in next releases…

https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/11976  persists.  There is a patch that has been approved.  https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/pull/12398. Please include it.

Persistence is futile.

Thank you.

RE: New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.9.9 - KodiUser1138 - 2024-08-20

I have reverted back to 10.9.3. Had too many issues moving forward, specifically with Collections and then a TV show episode having an error in the local nfo that completely messed up multiple things and there was no way to correct it even after fully removing that library and re-adding it. I'll continue to watch for more improvements as the faster (ie not grossly overly slow) search was nice for a bit.
