Jellyfin via Infuse on Mac: Content Loading Error - Violet8446 - 2023-08-20

Hey everyone,

I've been experiencing an issue with the Jellyfin and Infuse integration on my Mac and I’m hoping for some insights from this community. I can access Jellyfin without any issues through my browser and other clients. Adding my Jellyfin server to Infuse also seems to work fine. I can see all my media and the data appears to sync correctly.

However, the problem arises when I try to play any media. Each time, I receive an error message stating, "An error occurred loading this content."

I've tried various approaches to rectify this issue, including restarting the server, testing different media files, and reinstalling Infuse. However, none of these attempts have succeeded in resolving the issue.

I'm hoping that someone here has encountered a similar problem or might have some insight into what could be causing this. Any suggestions on how to fix this content loading error would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Smiling-face

You'll need to share the logs from your server. You can find them in Dashboard > Logs. There are two possible types, one is a server log, the other is an ffmpeg log for when the server invokes or tries to invoke transcoding on an incompatible media file. I'd guess you have incompatible media and something not set up correctly with regards to transcoding -- either something is disabled or you have hardware acceleration enabled when you don't have the correct (or any) device available on the server.

Hey, thanks for your reply and sorry for taking forever to respond!

I checked my logs and there is no ffmpeg log created, when trying to play my media through Infuse.

But there is a server log:
