Can media be streamed straight from the cloud without mounting anything? - Calushikid - 2023-08-20 Fairly new here, just found about this yesterday. From what i’ve seen, mostly everyone just has their content on hard drives or if they have it in the cloud, they mount the drives on their devices. Is there a way to stream your video content straight from cloud storage providers (MEGA, Google, Dropbox, etc.) without ever having to mount anything? If Jellyfin is not capable of this, anyone knows a program that is? RE: Can media be streamed straight from the cloud without mounting anything? - Venson - 2023-08-20 Hey @Calushikid Welcome to the community :-) No. Jellyfin does not know/care where your media comes from but it needs to access it though the filesystem. If you want to access external storage you have to do it though a mount/rsync . Jellyfin does not provide any method of accessing external storage systems. |
