No DTS-HD bitstreaming Nvidia Shield - HDGuy - 2023-08-20
I’ve tried the current release Android TV client and now 16.0-beta.2 release. Both could pass through TrueHD/Atmos fine, but release could only extract DTS and the beta only outputs it as DTS-HD HiRes at best with LibVLC, otherwise it’s DTS core only with the built in ExoPlayer decoder. Ironically all my other playback apps on the Shield bitstream DTS-HD just fine, including JustPlayer which is ExoPlayer based.
Anyone else having this issue? It pretty much makes Jellyfin unusable for me on the Shield.
