Music Artist Artwork missing. - TheDancingNeedle - 2024-08-07 halloo! currently, I have my main music server running on Navidrome, but I also have my music library setup in Jellyfin too. From a server point, for my use case, Navidrome seems the superior option to Jellyfin as of right now. However, the client apps (Manet iOS, Sonixd Windows) are SO much better than the ones built for Navidrome/Subsonic clients. For this reason, I really really want to switch to Jellyfin as my main music server, but there are things just stopping me from switching. My main gripe is the lack of Artist artworks. Here are screenshots of my Jellyfin artist library (Jellyfin MP & Sonixd): vs my Navidrome artist page: You can see how Navidrome populates all the artist art. I havent done that manually. I believe it is the Spotify API integration feature doing the work. I hate all the missing artwork on Jellyfin ! Also, if there are multiple artists/contributing artists on a track/album, Jellyfin seems to clump them together as one separate artist (see the JMP screenshot, 'The 6ths' is one example), whereas Navidrome will put the track/album into the main artist profile, which is much much better. I think the key is that Navidrome allows for use of a Spotify API key to fetch artist art. Is there any equivalent on Jellyfin? Here are all the Jellyfin plugins I have installed: but clearly none can pull the artwork for my artists. All my settings for my art grabber plugins on Jellyfin are correct. I admit I do have pretty obscure music taste, but the Spotify artist puller seems to do a great job. Also for the record, Navidrome also has Last.fm API integration, which pulls Artist bio, top songs etc. Can Jellyfin do this too? Its a small thing but I really like having the artist bio pulled. |
