Back to start of audio track - jellybum - 2024-08-09
When playing an audio track, the back button goes back to play the previous track from the beginning.
I would prefer the back button go back to the start of the current track (as long as it's >5 secs or whatever into the track) - is this possible?
I checked the settings etc. in the JF Desktop App (running on Windows) and couldn't find anything that looked like it might control this behaviour. I also employed advanced degenerative AI and Luscious Language Models to search the forum, and came up with nothing

I'm not at home to test this on the desktop client, but the desktop client uses jellyfin-web provided by the server so they should behave the same.
What you're describing appears to be the current behavior. 5 seconds and under into the track back will go to the previous track. Over 5 seconds it restarts the current track.
When I get home tonight I will double check on JMP 1.11.1 with server version 10.9.9.

Yep, I've just confirmed this is happening, even though I swear it wasn't doing that earlier. I promise I'm not crazy... Just ask the voices in my head - they'll back me up!!!

OK I've tested further and when the web UI (or Android App) back button is pressed, then it goes back to the start of the track, but when the back button on my BT headset is pressed, it goes back to the previous track.

Hmmm. I've never used JMP with a BT headset. When I Finamp with my Pixel Buds, triple tapping = back. And it behaves the same as when pressing back on the JMP interface with mouse/keyboard.
