DVD Iso => too short - goerdi - 2024-08-09

Hi !

I created 3 DVD iso files (i tried it with IMG Burn and CD Burner XP)
if  i add them with daemontools in my windows PC, i have them completely with the correct runtime ..(playtime each about 90 min)
When i add them to jellyfin and do a libary scan. 1 has 29 minutes another one has 32 min and the 3rd has the correct runtime...
Any hints to check ?

Ciao Gerd

How are you adding them to Jellyfin? Are you adding the ISO directly? Or are you extracting the folders?

Hi !

The folder of the libaray contains 7 iso files and the one i created are the only where this happens...

Putting your ISO's directly in the library is not supported, even though they can sometimes work.

Quote:ISO Files and other Disc Images
While Jellyfin should work with .iso files and other images, it is explicitly unsupported. It is recommended that those be extracted to BDMV or VIDEO_TS folders or remuxed to .mkv video files. Regardless of the source format, menus are not supported and only the main titles will be played.

HI !
I copied now the directorys of the DVD to the libaray and after a scan now it says
0815_1 (this directory contains the Video_ts folder with the vob files)
26h 57m
Endet um 15:40
which seems also not correct... :-)

I would try encoding the files to another format like H264 or H265 and/or remuxing the ts files to a mkv container.
