Uploaded music doesn't show on music library - wago - 2024-08-21
Hi all!
I recently install Jellyfin in Ubuntu (in fact is a CT turnkey container of Proxmox). I create an Ubuntu user called "usuario" and created the same user "usuario" in jellyfin through the web control panel. To that JellyFin user, I assign the following route as a music media library: /home/usuario/
I started to upload music folder to that directory through SFTP but when I go to JF Music media library I don't see them.
What am I doing wrong?

If this is running directly on Ubuntu, Jellyfin runs as the jellyfin user. And home directories are private directories that other users can't access. If you have files that multiple users need access to, do not host them out of your home directory. Move them to a folder that can be easily and safely shared. Like /media.
