Music jumps some seconds from the start - barondandy - 2024-08-22 Hello all, and first of all, thanks for receiving me in this forum. I'd like to ask if someone have experimented that when the songs starts, always jumps some seconds from the beginning. If you jump from a song to another, I have the same issue: The song starts some seconds after the real beginning of the song. How could I solve this? Thanks in advance, BR RE: Music jumps some seconds from the start - TheDreadPirate - 2024-08-22 Can you share your full logs via pastebin? And what codecs does your music use and what client are you using? RE: Music jumps some seconds from the start - barondandy - 2024-08-23 Sorry, I don't know how to do it with pastebin. I have attached a log text file. My music is in mp3 most of all and some in flac. I'm using Jellyfin Media Player 1.11.1 in Windows 11 on a PC, using USB output to an autoamplified speakers. If I use the Jellyfin media player in a mobile or web interface, It works fine in the internal speaker, but no over the USB output, starting the songs some seconds after the real beginning. Thanks for your help. Log.txt (Size: 140.88 KB / Downloads: 27) RE: Music jumps some seconds from the start - TheDreadPirate - 2024-08-23 I'm not at home to double check, but in Jellyfin Media Player (the desktop app), there is a setting in either Client Settings or Playback (not the one in the dashboard) to manually select the output device. It sounds like the auto device selection isn't working right or your USB device is going to sleep or something. What kind of USB DAC is it? I have a Schiit Modi and I've never encountered this problem. |
