Sync downloaded music with the server? - Creepurr - 2024-08-24 I want to have the music on my jellyfin server to be synced to my phone as in downloading everyone of them to my phone. If I were to add new songs to my server, I want that specific song to also be downloaded on my phone. Is this ever possible to achieve? To add to this, I know both Jellyfin Client and finamp can download music. But those require me to select every single one to download and that I have to repeat the same thing for every new songs that I've added. So I'm wondering if its possible to automate this, as in to check songs that are downloaded then proceed to download those that aren't. RE: Sync downloaded music with the server? - TheDreadPirate - 2024-08-24 If you add music to a playlist or favorite them, Finamp has "single click" options to download individual playlists, download all playlists, or download all favorites. There is a paid app called Symfonium and it has similar capabilities as Finamp in this regard. RE: Sync downloaded music with the server? - Tolriq - 2024-08-25 Symfonium have a lot more flexibility in offline caching of the media, including a simple setting to automatically cache all the server songs. For the offline caching of all songs, will old songs be removed to make space and the new songs cached after? RE: Sync downloaded music with the server? - Tolriq - 2024-08-25 Symfonium have many different cache concepts see https://support.symfonium.app/t/offline-media-cache-downloads-rolling-cache-playback-cache-automatic-cache-and-more/3565 If you enable full provider cache, then no there's no deletion of the old media to make room for new ones. But you can easily create a smart playlist that contains X songs or albums sorted by last added and enable auto cache on them, and it will remove the old ones to add the new ones. And many other combinations you can think of. |
