Playlists (Dead) FLAC local mixed with URLs

Deadhead here

I have thousands of shows, many with mixed sources

Trying to get away from folder-based playing, and even tags

relying for this collection instead on manually created playlists.

So a show would comprise a mix, some songs online from Archive.org via a URL, while some I have locally, might be a mix of from official releases (Dick's Picks etc) and fill in the gaps from traded FLACs.

Suggestions please on how to handle streaming such a playlist from Jellyfin, hopefully NOT requiring duplicating from the files canon location to a "mixtape" folder, already using 8TB.

ideally JF can be cloud hosted?

and also suggest Android player clients

that would support a playlist to allow a one click session

ideally as gapless as possible?

TIA

TLDR; For music the files have to be local. Or have the appearance of being local. As in cloud storage is allowed as long as it is mounted to the operating system so that it appears as regular files to Jellyfin.

Playlists don't support plain URLs to files.

Is this also true for other mainstream servers?

Do you know of Android clients that allow URLs to files?

Does Jellyfin expose individual track files as URLs to remote clients?

Where can I post these issues as a JF feature request?

No idea.  Go check out Navidrome.  It's a music focused media server.

The client makes a request to the server and the server sends a file.
