Transcoding - weyon668 - 2024-08-28 Hello, I am new to Jellyfin. I installed it on my Synology DS1520+, it was really easy. But now I have a strange issue with hardware transcoding. Some movies works like a charm (300), others reports Playback Error (3ways). When I turn transcoding off, everything works. Somebody has any idea? RE: Transcoding - Host-in-the-Shell - 2024-08-28 With that particular NAS, are you running DSM? That tends to ship with an ancient version of the Linux Kernel, and that probably has a lot of issues with transcoding in general. Also, the document you posted is not the official method of installation, which is detailed here.
