use vsmeta files - FriFra - 2024-08-30

Is there a way, Jellyfin can use existing vsmeta files? I exported all metadata from Video Station? It is available for all movies and seris and documentations and would be great, if Jellyfin could use this to prevent me from doing this work again.

No. vsmeta files are Synology-specific "Video Station" metadata files. I'm not sure if there's any 3rd party scripts/programs that will even convert them to NFOs usable by Jellyfin.

I know, these are synology specific, but i guess they contain all neccesary information. I would like to have an option to accept these as a source. Especially in the current situation, where all Synology Video Station users are forced to switch, it would surely be very much appreciated to have such an option, since you can export your whole library metadata from videostation into these vsmeta files. The migration would be much more smooth.
