Adding custom themes - Yamus - 2024-09-01 Sorry for being an ultra noob, but I just learned about Jellyfin and set it up so please bare with me. I haven't had a PC in 7 years and I just built a pretty decent one. First thing I wanted to do was set up a media server. I have ran other ones in the past, but I saw this and really wanted to try it out. Anyways, I've seen some pretty cool custom themes on this forum, but I have no idea how to install them. What do I do with the @import... line that each one has under "Installation"? I'm running Jellyfin on Windows 11. RE: Adding custom themes - Ted Hinklater - 2024-09-01 If you click the 3 lines (burger icon) on the top left in Jellyfin and go to Dashboard, then the General tab, any lines you paste in the Custom CSS box will be used to style everyone's Jellyfin on that server, unless... Click your user icon on the top right, go to Display and scroll down to the CSS box there. There is an option to disable server CSS and paste your own, though it will only apply to that user on that device and on that client (I.e. Jellyfin media player, firefox etc) RE: Adding custom themes - Yamus - 2024-09-01 (2024-09-01, 09:28 PM)Ted Hinklater Wrote: If you click the 3 lines (burger icon) on the top left in Jellyfin and go to Dashboard, then the General tab, any lines you paste in the Custom CSS box will be used to style everyone's Jellyfin on that server, unless... Thanks for the quick response. I tried that, but when I go to my server, nothing has changed. I am testing with the "Zesty" theme from this forum. I also restarted the server after I added the line. I added the whole line exactly as it showed in the "Code" box. @import url('https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/stpnwf/ZestyTheme@latest/theme.css'); I didn't follow the second part of your response, as I want it changed for all users. Nice MF Doom pfp btw. RE: Adding custom themes - Ted Hinklater - 2024-09-01 That option I mentioned to disable Server CSS (under Display Settings), that's definitely not checked/active? Also if you're in a browser, using Ctrl+F5 for a hard refresh might help. ps all caps when you spell the man's name :P RE: Adding custom themes - Yamus - 2024-09-02 (2024-09-01, 11:22 PM)Ted Hinklater Wrote: That option I mentioned to disable Server CSS (under Display Settings), that's definitely not checked/active? Appreciate your help man. Now time to go add all my Czarface albums to my media library . i I'll get it right next time. RIP to the LEGEND RE: Adding custom themes - Yamus - 2024-09-02 While I have you, what's the easiest way to add text to the cover of Movies on the homepage? My TV Shows says "TV Shows", my anime says "Anime", but movies appears to be just a random image from one of my movies. I see where I can edit the actual image, but how can I get it to say "Movies" on it, so it looks more uniform? Also, it seems like years ago, when I was playing around with KODI and PLEX, there were resources to download cool images to use, instead of just a random image. Any suggestion on that? What can I search for that will bring up something that will fit nicely there? Just edit the image to have the text over it and upload it as the library's image. The way it works right now is if you don't add a personal image, a random image will be picked periodically and the library's name pasted over it. If you add a custom image, it will be the image without the name over it. Just edit the image to have the text over it and upload it as the library's image. I found that if I right-clicked on the Movie library and selected "Edit Image" and then deleted it, it pulled a better image this time, and added the "Movies" text back to it. I will probably make something custom in Photoshop eventually, but I wanna get my feet wet with Jellyfin first. |
