Live TV works on Jellyfin on PC but not on AndroidTV - Elvis Furtado - 2024-09-02
I setup JioTV Go which sets up a server on my PC to stream TV channels from a JioTV account and it gives a local URL like http://192.168.0.xx:xxxx/?q=high&language=6&category=0 (end bit are filters). I set this up in the dashboard as a m3u tuner and it works perfectly in Jellyfin on my PC, but everytime I try to watch any live tv channel on my android tv jellyfin instance it crashes.

Also I am able to see the EPG properly on the AndroidTV Jellyfin instance, but not play any channel, what could be wrong here?

I was able to get it to work with removing the checkbox (flag) for Direct Stream Live TV under Playback and advanced settings, thus allowing for transcoding of the content. I thought it was the transcoding that was not allowing it to work.
Anyway I now have it working as expected, thank you.
