new guy - Synology 7.2 Permissions - Kaizoku001 - 2024-09-04 I Just installed Jellyfin and was wondering, Do I have to give it read permission for the movie folder? I tried and couldn't see it in the permission drop box (system internal User) how do i give it permission? It can't seem to detect my movies RE: new guy - Synology 7.2 Permissions - TheDreadPirate - 2024-09-04 I'm assuming you mounted the volume with your movies into the container, correct? @Efficient_Good_5784 - Can you chime in? RE: new guy - Synology 7.2 Permissions - Efficient_Good_5784 - 2024-09-04 Can you post how you created the Jellyfin container? You shouldn't need to mess around with permissions unless you made a new user (other than admin) that's used to upload media to a shared folder. Did you check the shared folder's permission settings to make sure the user you set Jellyfin as has access to it? Ended up starting over. Realized that I didn't need to touch any permissions. Was confused by a video I had seen that used 3rd party apps. All is good for now Thank you for the help. |
