Episodes appear out of order - .spedicey - 2024-09-13 First off, first time posting here, so apologies for any poor or misused formatting, getting used to it. I am running a Jellyfin server off of container manager in a Synology machine and on certain shows, the episode display order tends to bork out. For example, in Dragon Ball Super, I navigate to Season 5 of the show and am greeted with episode 100 right up front, followed by episode 77. Then, episodes will display like normal until I get to episode 99, where for some reason afterwards the display decides to show me episodes 1-31. This also happens to Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z Kai, which all have over 100 episodes, which leads me to believe it has something to do with how it reads the 1 in episodes with 100 and above in their episode titles. How can I fix this so episodes display properly? RE: Episodes appear out of order - TheDreadPirate - 2024-09-13 Can you provide example folder and file names? And some example full paths? Heres 3 snips showing Dragon Ball Super's folder, as well as some screenshots of how the episodes are sorted in them. RE: Episodes appear out of order - Efficient_Good_5784 - 2024-09-13 Your episode naming structure doesn't follow Jellyfin's expected structure. https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/shows/ Follow the documentation I linked above and rescan your files. RE: Episodes appear out of order - TheDreadPirate - 2024-09-13 What metadata provider are you using? Regardless, you are using season numbers with absolute order episode numbers. AFAICT, neither TMDB nor TVDB uses season numbers and absolute episode numbers for Dragonball Super. For example, Season 5 episode "94" should be episode 01. I am using TheMovieDB at this second, and prior to posting, I also tried TOMD. Knowing that its likely a naming issue as stated by you and by Efficient_Good in this thread, I'll give renumbering the series a shot to see if it works. Any recommended tools for this? And thank you both for the help. RE: Episodes appear out of order - TheDreadPirate - 2024-09-13 Tiny Media Manager. And I'm pretty sure Sonarr also has media management functionality. RE: Episodes appear out of order - .spedicey - 2024-09-13 Thanks a lot, Will try and get back to you. RE: Episodes appear out of order - .spedicey - 2024-09-13 I used TMM to rename both Super and DB and both show up properly on the Jellyfin UI! Gonna mark this as solved now. Thanks for your help! |
