Help with duplicates - Nix - 2024-09-22
Not sure why but some of my shows I have are being duplicated in Jellyfin UI but no duplicates are found in folder. At first I thought it was a naming issue but I've been consistent with name all of my files in the same format and its a 50/50 issue.
I've tried to delete the show from the folder completely and refresh metadata then re-add the show and refresh again but same issue appears.

Strangest part is not all of my shows have this issue but its not a non-issue. Most annoying part of this is when I finish Ep1 for a duplicate it'll auto go to the next episode which would be Ep1 again.
File naming and structure are all the same across my shows. Any advice would be great.

Did you enable the missing episode fetcher in your library settings?

No that setting isn't enabled.

There have been some issues with custom folder names. I’m not sure if they’ve been resolved, so please ensure you’re on the latest version (10.9.11). If that doesn’t help, try renaming your season folder to "Season 01," and so on.

Just updated to 10.9.11 and that didn't work so I tried to rename my folders and scan the libraries again and the issue persisted.

Issue has been fixed. Had to uninstall and delete all files (C:\Program Files\Jellyfin) for jellyfin (not meta data) then reinstall as a fresh copy to get it to work.
