External fonts for external subs - xDololow - 2024-09-24
Is it possible for Jellyfin to use external fonts with external subs? I have some anime that have ass subs and Fonts folder with fonts for subs.
Also, can I make JF search for audio tracks and subs deeper into the folders? Cuz I have other anime that has RUS Subs folder with multiple subs folders.

Yes, but it varies by OS. We have some documentation for fonts located here.

You'd have to centrally locate the fonts. Your other option is to embedded the fonts as attachments. That's how most embedded ASS subs include their fonts. Not sure if those embedded attachments would carry over to external ASS subs.
